How to clean your room with cannabis
Need to clean your room? Here is the right strain and playlist to get it done.
“I was going to clean my room until I got high.”
Ah a classic lyric. If we think about it a little though, we find that this isn’t always the case. I’ve had plenty of experiences where I’ve gotten high and had some laser like focus and I cleaned my room in record time, not to mention did my laundry, scrubbed my tub and then cooked up some dinner. So what’s the reality? Well, all I can say to this is that Afroman was probably smoking the wrong type of weed! If you don’t know by now, cannabis effects are a spectrum and some strains and products are better suited for specific experiences. Sure, there will be those strains that put you immediately in a place where your body doesn’t move and your relaxation is through the roof, but there are also products that are going to put you in a productive headspace. Today we want to explore what those strains are and we’ll give you some tips and tunes to maximize your cleaning and organization vibes.
What To Look For
There are some particular things you want to search for in a strain or product if you’re looking for focus, clarity, and energy. The biggest component is going to be the levels of pinene the strain contains. Pinene is a terpene that has focus and motivation properties. As it interacts with the THC in cannabis, it can actually serve to counteract some of the more adverse effects like random thoughts and memory loss. When you are looking for a product check to see if it has any signs of containing this terpene as it will definitely help you find that alertness and energy. Some strain that we recommend that have this terpene and others to give you these results are: Strawberry Cough, Durban Poison, Romulan and Red Congolese.
How To Get the Most Out of It
While the type of product you buy can definitely help you achieve your goals, it is important to remember that it is an agent to help; the other key component of your cannabis journey is you. What mindset are you bringing forth to the table? What effort have you put into visualizing your experience? Cannabis consumption is something that can be done responsibly and it should not become a crutch. If you find yourself completely unmotivated or unwilling to clean your room unless you have your weed, that might be a sign to reevaluate your relationship with marijuana and also with yourself. Keep this in mind the next time you want to use cannabis as an agent, and review it’s place in your life.
If your goals are to focus and get some things done, we first recommend you have a plan. While cannabis will facilitate the experience, do your part to set the scene. Schedule time to get these things done and look forward to it with the intention that at that time, that’s what you are going to do. It can be useful to make a list, but you also want to be wary of overwhelming yourself. Often times we make master lists of everything we need to accomplish and it can give us a sense of satisfaction that we’ve categorized, but it can also overwhelm us. So make bite sized lists. You can make one long list but then break it up into smaller ones, with maybe only 2 or 3 tasks on each. Make it a goal to complete just one list. If you have the energy and the time you can start a new list, but the key to accomplish one thing at a time. This will reduce your overall anxiety and stress and most importantly, put you on the best track to get things done.
Another tip we want to share is to try your best to just lose yourself in the moment. Whether it’s cleaning your room or working on a project, the best thing you can do to maximize your efficacy is to aggressively engage with what it is that you are doing. Ask yourself, what is it that I’m working on right now and channel your focus to that one thing. This practice will not only give you a sense of satisfaction, it will bring you quality work and results because your mind will be deeply involved in the process and only in that process.
So you’ve got your weed, and you’ve got your intentions, the last thing you need is the jams to set it all in motion!
We’ve have set up a playlists to help you on your way. It has a good dose of energy without too much distraction. We hope that you will enjoy them.
